We can assist you with all of your interior design needs, including new construction, remodeling, and decorating.
How We Can Help You
Whether you just need a little push in the right design direction or need someone to work with from start to finish during the remodel or construction of your home, we can help.
We design and decorate homes that are more than just pretty - each home needs to function well and meet the specific needs of the family that lives there. If your closet layout needs to be reconfigured, your pantry shelving needs to be redesigned, or your kitchen layout is not as efficient as you would like, we can help make your home more functional to make your life easier and less stressful.
Our expertise will help you avoid expensive design mistakes and help you attain the home of your dreams.
We know the little details that can upgrade a nice home into a spectacular one.
Your surroundings should not look exactly like a page from a furniture catalog that everyone has seen before - it should be special and uniquely you.
Let us help you create an impressive yet comfortable home for your family to enjoy for years to come.
Many people put off remodeling or decorating their home until they are ready to sell.
Why wait?
Get your home the way you want it now so you can enjoy it.
Why Use a Registered Interior Designer?
Registered interior designers in Texas have a college education in interior design, have completed an internship under a licensed professonal, and have passed a very challenging exam. Registered interior designers don't design as a hobby - it is our profession that we have invested many years into studying and continually strive to learn more about interior design, construction, and design materials & products.
By using a registered interior designer, you will save time and reduce your stress when it comes to the design and decorating of your home.
We are familiar with common construction problems and know how address them before they happen. We know about the durability of products and how they will wear over time. We consider the long term maintenance requirements of what we design so it does not become a problem in the future. We try to design for not only your current needs, but your family's needs in the future.
Using an interior designer from the very beginning of building a new home can greatly improve the home's design. We can work with the architect's plans to ensure a proper fit and placement of your furniture and other items that you desire. It is much easier and less expensive to make door, window, lighting, electrical, and plumbing tweeks to the plans before construction has started than to fix problems during the construction process or after construction is completed.
We can keep you from making expensive mistakes, such as selecting the wrong paint color or sheen, purchasing a product that will not wear well, forgetting to put an electrical outlet in a certain spot because you did not consider your furniture plan or holiday decorations, purchasing an item in the wrong scale that makes your home look cheap (such as curtains that are the wrong size or hung incorrectly), or ordering the wrong sized furniture, light fixtures, or rugs.
Since design trends change about every 3 to 5 years and you don't want your home to be out of style before your remodel is complete, we will inform you of items that are trendy and those that are timeless so you will be an informed consumer.
We know the places where it is best to spend a little extra money for added impact, and those where you can spend a little less money in order to stretch a budget.
To ensure that your project does not stall during the construction process, we will work with you to have all of the required selections made prior to your home builder or remodeler asking.
We can help couples come up with a design plan that will blend their design sensibilities together so both are happy.
We Are Different Than Other Interior Designers and Decorators
We are not furniture salesmen with only a few hours of training in decorating whose salary is based on how much furniture we can sell.
We will not talk you into buying furniture, accessories, or other items that you don't need or want in order to make more money.
Instead, we source furniture and accessories from many different manufacturers to give you a one-of-a-kind interior design within your budget.
We understand the wear and tear that a home receives from kids, pets, and everyday life, so we can work with you to source materials that are more durable yet still stylish.
Our designs can be adjusted to accommodate many different price points, and we are open to designing a home in phases as budget allows.
We can typically design rooms to be worked around your favorite existing furniture and decor.
How We Work
We would love for you to email us (
At the end of the phone consultation, we schedule an in-home or virtual interior design consultation that costs $250 and takes 1-2 hours. During the design consultation, we can discuss furniture and rug placement, paint colors, remodeling issues, interior decorating suggestions, artwork, flooring, lighting, plumbing, electrical, window treatments, and other interior design problems, concerns, and enhancements.
You might only need the intial consultation to get your project started, or you might want to continue working with us to assist with other design issues or to develop an overall design plan.
If you wish to continue working with us, we will ask you to sign of letter of agreement so we both know what to expect, and we will discuss a plan to reach your goal.
Payment for the in-home design consultation is due at the end of the meeting by cash or check. Virtual interior design consultation fees are due prior to the meeting.
Pricing Information
Our fees after the $250 initial consultation are $100 per hour, billed bi-monthly in quarter hour increments. On site visits are billed a minimum of 1 hour since drive time is not charged.
We offer multiple purchasing options to suit your budget.
If you would like a complete design plan for a certain room, a price range estimate of design fees can be given after the initial consultation.
A typical living room or bedroom design plan that might include a basic rendering, architectural drawings, and specification of furniture, accessories, art, and building materials (flooring, paint, lighting, etc.) typically requires between 10 and 30 hours of design time per room.
A bathroom or kitchen remodel design plan that might include a basic rendering, architectural drawings for your general contractor, and specifications of building materials, appliances, plumbing fixtures, and accessories typically requires between 10 and 45 hours of design time, depending on size of room and detail of design.
A large closet redesign including architectural plans and elevations for your contractor typically requires between 4 and 10 hours of design time.
Sourcing products (light fixtures, furniture, rugs, accessories) typically requires around 90 minutes of design time per item and might include 2-5 options.
Design services for a new home under construction from the planning stage to move in can cost approximately 5% to 15% of the total house cost, depending on how much help is needed.
Your project may cost more or less than these estimates, depending on the size of the room and the amount of help that you need.
